History
In the summer of 2002, Tyler Fuqua traveled to Puerto Alegria, Peru looking for adventure and a way to help others. He immediately fell in love with the beautiful country, its amazing people, and the street boys he had come to know and serve. Heartbroken over the children’s plight and the injustices they had endured, he vowed to return to Puerto Alegria and not to be another person who visited once and then never came back again. Although it took him nearly two years, he was finally able to return in the spring of 2004 when he organized a group of his friends to travel with him to Puerto Alegria for their college spring break. After this trip, he and his friends began organizing more trips so that they could share with others the story of these incredible boys.

In 2007, Tyler and his friends decided to start the non-profit organization, Not Forgotten, Inc., to provide a way for others to get involved in their work in the country of Peru. Others can now be involved in this work by helping to support and organize future trips, raising awareness of the struggles of street children and other forgotten people groups, and providing a means to raise funds to make a difference in the lives of people around the world.
