Summer 2012- Work Team
Trip Dates June 23rd-July 1st
Not Forgotten continues to seek new ways to serve the children of Iquitos, Peru and is excited about some new opportunities this summer.  This summer, Not Forgotten will be partnering with First Bible Church in Decatur, AL and Shades Mountain Baptist in Birmingham, AL to best serve the children of Iquitos, and begin construction on Not Forgotten’s new children’s home.
Trip Cost: $2000-$2500
Trip Capacity: 25 (participants must be 18+)
Trip Purpose: Construction, Games, Crafts, Bible lessons, etc.
Trip Sign-Up Deadline: March 15th, 2012

Requirements to join the team? Email Kristen if you are interested in joining us this summer. She send you an information packet that include an information form. The information form and a non-refundable $300 deposit are due before you are guaranteed space on the team.

Work Teams: General Information

Where?

  • Iquitos, Peru and Puerto Alegria

When?

  • Work teams are taken 2-3 times a year. (Spring Break, Summer, and New Years)
  • Check the list of upcoming trips to find the date that is best for you.

Who?

  • Team Size: Between 15-25 participants for each trip
  • Age Range: 18+

What will we do?

  • Construction: Projects include building repair, dormitory construction, general ground maintenance, and a variety of other projects that help us best serve the children in Iquitos.
  • Vacation Bible School: We take advantage of any opportunity to share the hope of Christ. We often organize Vacation Bible School classes to help share our faith with the children through bible stories, skits, crafts, and songs.
  • English Classes: We have been fortunate enough to have English teachers travel with us in the past. In an effort to utilize each unique skill set of our team members, we will often hold English classes throughout the week.
